About the Role
As a Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for the total holistic omni customer experience in your store, ensuring high visual and commercial standards according to the store format location and global & regional strategies. You will lead the full store team to excel, creating an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit. You will analyze sales, follow up on results, and develop plans to optimize store performance.
A Day in the Life
Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day includes responsibilities such as:
Managing the total OMNI customer experience, ensuring visual and commercial standards
Representing the H&M brand positively during all customer interactions
Establishing and analyzing sales and budget goals, creating plans to meet targets
Providing personal customer service and guiding customers through fashion stories
Promoting customer loyalty and sustainability initiatives
Scheduling staff in line with sales and operational needs
Maintaining routines in fitting rooms and checkout areas
Identifying commercial opportunities and maintaining competitor awareness
Managing store maintenance efficiently
Handling administrative routines for people and operations
Fashion & Trend Awareness
Staying updated with fashion trends, styles, brands, and influencers
Ensuring team provides product knowledge and fashion information to customers
Understanding the local market, customer base, and competition
Team & Development
Leading talent management, recruiting, onboarding, and developing your team
Conducting performance evaluations and succession planning
Sharing knowledge and fostering team collaboration
Communicating effectively with the team and store leadership
Planning and scheduling staff
Motivating and inspiring staff through regular communication
Ensuring procedures, routines, security, and legal compliance
Participating in onboarding, training, and development activities
Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-presented store environment
Ensuring high-quality visual and product presentation
Managing stock levels and providing input on allocation
Overseeing daily opening and closing routines
Managing the full garment cycle and fitting room routines
Utilizing in-store tech tools and services effectively
Maintaining consistent pricing signage according to guidelines
Keeping BOH areas organized and compliant
Who You Are
A strong leader who enjoys responsibility and team development
Confident in coaching, communication, and working with numbers
Relevant leadership and retail management experience
Experience in retail operations and team collaboration

Compensation: $68,343.74-$79,620.46 annually
