IT Systems Administrator

They will be responsible for monitoring system performance, conducting system analysis, provisioning, administering day-to-day operations, and supporting project delivery for the organization. They will possess technical knowledge of configuring/administering both Linux and Microsoft operating systems. Successful candidates must be highly motivated to ensure functionality and security of enterprise systems with the added focus on integrations of on-premise systems to cloud systems. Additionally, the candidate should be experienced with enterprise applications and tools used to manage the workspace, as well as practices used to secure the space. This person will be part of the IT team and will partner closely to implement plans and procedures to address improvement needs. Duties and Responsibilities · Ensure data access and integrity for enterprise applications. · Support existing enterprise backups and printing systems. · Support IT projects by providing configuration and access to enterprise resources. · Research new and existing technologies for security and functionality. · Provide consistent documentation of system status, security and readiness. · Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases · Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts · Ability to troubleshoot, understand, execute, and communicate root causes and implement solutions to resolve issues · Lead/work on system initiatives and new projects · Resolve all escalated support tickets · Conduct regular system backups, patch management, and preventative maintenance Required Skills · 5+ years of installation/configuration experience with RedHat Linux and Microsoft server operating systems. · Good knowledge of Linux/Windows integration software. (Samba, Cups) · Knowledge of Linux/Widows scripting tools. (Bash, Powershell). · Good knowledge of security compliance frameworks: ISO, NIST, CIS, GDPR · Ability to resolve technical and functional issues in a network environment. · Ability to handle changing workloads and priorities, driven by business requirements. · Service oriented with good interpersonal and customer relations skills · Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and responsiveness in completing tasks · Understanding of security best practices, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection, and vulnerability assessments. · Experience supporting systems in a manufacturing environment Desired Qualifications · Ability to work with all levels of Business Users · Bachelors Degree Seniority level
