Inspector This exciting role will be responsible for inspecting machine and sheet metal components, raw materials, and assembled products to exceed the standards illustrated in the specifications and engineering drawings. A solid understanding of manually inspecting manufactured parts will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Arlington, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of a variety of aerospace components. Reads and interprets aerospace manufacturing drawings, including tolerances, customer specifications, and technical requirements.
Accurately compares the product to engineering drawings/specifications, purchase orders, and manufacturing orders using common manual inspection equipment (PCMs, height gage, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, etc.) to accept or reject product to customer engineering requirements.
Documents product acceptance/rejection on manufacturing orders, processes any necessary rejection documentation, and performs various MRP system functions.
Performs Rockwell and Eddy Current testing for product acceptance.
Understands and applies statistical sampling techniques.
Audit procedures and processes of shop inspection.
Review outside processing certifications of nondestructive testing, chemical processing, and finish, and verify the physical appearance of the final product for conformance to engineering specifications.
Fully capable of understanding, performing, and completing FAI’s per AS9102 requirements.
Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on inspection experience in a regulated industry.
2+ years of inspection experience in the aerospace industry is .
Basic ability to use Engineering Drawings.
Basic Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
High school diploma or equivalent .
Salary Range:
$50,000-62,400 depending on experience.
Weekly Schedule:
Day Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
