Your Key Responsibilities Performing comprehensive assessments of patients, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting individualized treatment plans Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or autonomously (based on your credentials) Educating patients and their families on disease prevention, wellness practices, and management strategies Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies as per your practice scope Engaging in follow-up care and chronic condition management for patients Working with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, patient-centric care Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) Education Required
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program Certifications Needed
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain these within 90 days) Attributes That Make You Stand Out
