We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined
Assembly Technician
to join our team. This role focuses on the
disassembly of diesel trucks
, including removal of truck beds, water tanks, engine components, and other mechanical and structural parts in preparation for repairs, rebuilds, or salvage.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely disassemble diesel trucks using hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment.
Remove truck beds, frames, tanks, and cab components following proper procedures.
Disconnect electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems with attention to detail.
Label, organize, and document all parts and hardware for reassembly or storage.
Inspect parts for wear, damage, or salvage opportunities and report findings.
Follow safety guidelines when handling heavy components or hazardous materials.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Assist team members with moving large components or using hoists/lifts.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and mechanics on truck conditions and next steps.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with diesel trucks, heavy equipment, or automotive disassembly preferred.
Ability to use hand tools, impact guns, torque wrenches, and cutting tools.
Basic understanding of truck mechanical systems.
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in various positions, and stand for extended periods.
Forklift or crane operation certification is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and safety procedures.
