Position Summary:
HaulLane is seeking a skilled and dependable
Assembly Technician
to join our truck build and modification team. The ideal candidate will assist in assembling truck beds and water tanks, extending truck frames, and installing cable systems. This role requires mechanical knowledge, precision, and the ability to work in a hands-on, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and install truck beds and water tanks on commercial vehicles.
Assist with frame extension tasks to accommodate specific truck configurations.
Route and install cables, hoses, and related components into trucks.
Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to complete assembly tasks.
Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions accurately.
Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with welders, electricians, and other technicians on larger builds.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Report issues or defects to supervisors and recommend improvements.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
1+ year of experience in vehicle assembly, mechanics, or related work (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.
Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work in a warehouse or outdoor setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with truck modifications or custom builds.
Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems in vehicles.
Basic welding or fabrication skills (a plus).
