Astro Pak is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive
IT Security Analyst
to help safeguard our enterprise systems and stay ahead of evolving cyber threats. As a key member of the IT team, you'll play a hands-on role in securing networks, systems, and applications while leading initiatives like vulnerability management, threat detection, and compliance assessments.
You'll work closely with our IT teams and business units to build a strong security foundation across our infrastructure-ensuring our systems are not only protected but also resilient and well-prepared for future risks.
This role will report directly to our Vice President of Information Technology & work a hybrid schedule out of our Corporate Office in Costa Mesa, CA.
What You'll Do:
Security Monitoring & Response Proactively monitor the environment to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats Investigate real-time alerts and historical logs for potential security or compliance issues Lead threat-hunting efforts to identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited Vulnerability & Risk Management
Own the internal
vulnerability management program , identifying and resolving security gaps Coordinate
annual cybersecurity assessments
and
penetration tests Research emerging threats and advise on pre-emptive risk mitigation strategies Technical Security Support
Provide technical guidance on network, system, and application security Monitor and assess new security technologies to recommend improvements Manage security systems and tools used by the Information Security team Compliance & Documentation
Help ensure alignment with compliance frameworks like
NIST ,
ISO , and
COBIT Support initiatives related to U.S. Export Control Law compliance Document security processes and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required 1-3 years in a security analyst or similar IT security role Experience implementing or enforcing frameworks such as
NIST, COBIT, or ISO Hands-on knowledge of security tools and technologies (e.g.,
Proofpoint, Arctic Wolf, Microsoft XDR, Sentinel, Fortinet ) Proficiency in
Windows PowerShell Solid understanding of Microsoft enterprise technologies:
Azure, Active Directory, SQL, Office365 , and Windows servers/desktops Strong communication and writing skills to translate complex security issues for a broad audience Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive security initiatives from start to finish Must be able to comply with the U.S. Export Control Laws Important Note:

The hourly range for this position is $36-$40.
