Responsibilities
Actively meet with campus recruiters and hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and tailor strategies and programs to enhance student engagement and achieve desired recruitment outcomes; Serve as the primary point of contact for employers, addressing inquiries, providing detailed information about services, resources, and student talent, and offering timely support for recruitment events and initiatives; Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employer interactions to ensure informed and efficient communication; Collect and analyze employer feedback to continuously improve recruitment strategies and Career Services' offerings; and manage the employer partner program to include meeting with partners, tracking partner spending, ordering promotional items, and growing program membership. Develop event timelines, coordinate logistics (e.g., venue booking, catering, equipment), and ensure all aspects of event preparation are complete; Collaborate with CPDC team to align event goals with the needs of both students and employers; Ensure a smooth event experience for all participants, providing on-site event management and troubleshooting as needed; Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all materials, supplies, and equipment are prepared; Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and campus departments to ensure all logistics are handled professionally and timely (e.g., catering, tech support, parking, signage); Build and maintain relationships with event vendors, employers, and campus stakeholders; Design and execute event marketing campaigns to increase awareness and participation; Track the effectiveness of event marketing campaigns and adjust as necessary to optimize attendance and engagement; and collect data and feedback from event participants (employers and students) to evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement; Provide post-event reports to the Director, detailing attendance, employer feedback, student engagement, and any relevant metrics; Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies for future events, improving student/employer participation and satisfaction; Supervise student and staff volunteers during event, providing guidance on their duties and ensuring they are prepared to assist with event logistics, registration, and other responsibilities; Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring costs are within the allocated budget and expenses are tracked accurately; Procure and manage event supplies and resources, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for both students and employers; and negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, venues, and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions. Plan, organize, and execute a range of recruitment events such as information sessions, coffee chats, career conversations, networking events, and employer panels; Coordinate event logistics, including event promotion, and providing on-site support to ensure smooth event execution; Work closely with employers to align events with their recruitment needs and provide engaging opportunities for student/employer interactions; Track attendance, collect data, and gather feedback to evaluate event effectiveness and make improvements for future events; Regularly seek employer feedback through surveys, meetings, and post-event evaluations to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement in recruitment strategies and services; Use feedback to adapt and refine recruitment events, programs, and employer outreach efforts to better meet employer needs and enhance student engagement; Design and execute event marketing campaigns to increase awareness and participation; Utilize social media platforms, email newsletters, and the CPDC website to promote events and encourage student participation; Collaborate with the CPDC team to support students in securing internships and full-time employment; Develop strategies to connect students with relevant employers and job opportunities in their field of study; Hire, train, and supervise student employee(s) involved in department services and programs, ensuring they understand their roles and are equipped to assist in career development initiatives; Provide ongoing guidance and direction to student staff, helping them perform their duties effectively while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment; Manage student employee work schedules and provide guidance on tasks such as event planning, content creation, social media management, and customer service; Provide constructive feedback and support professional development for student employees; Ensure CPDC marketing materials, event branding, and digital content align with the university's overall brand while maintaining a distinct CPDC identity; Support efforts to increase awareness of the CPDC and its offerings, helping employers recognize the value of recruiting FAMU students; Collaborate with the CPDC team to create and execute marketing campaigns highlighting recruitment events, employer services, and student achievements; and manage CPDC social media accounts to engage employers and students, promote events, and share valuable content. Provide graphic design support for the creation of marketing materials such as event flyers, promotional banners, digital ads, and presentations, ensuring all materials align with the CPDC brand identity; Oversee the creation of engaging digital content (e.g., videos, photos, graphics) to promote CPDC initiatives, including employer partnerships, student success stories, and job opportunities; Ensure the CPDC website is regularly updated with information about upcoming recruitment events, employer partnerships, and student opportunities; Monitor and manage social media engagement, using platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to promote events, job opportunities, and CPDC resources; Analyze social media performance to refine strategies and increase visibility for CPDC initiatives; Track key performance metrics related to recruitment events, employer engagement and financial contributions, and student participation; Regularly report to the Director on event outcomes, employer feedback, and recruitment strategy effectiveness; Use data insights to continually refine marketing strategies and improve event execution; Work collaboratively with the CPDC and Enrollment Management teams, academic departments, and other university stakeholders to ensure alignment of recruitment strategies and initiatives; and participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas to enhance employer engagement, student outreach, and CPDC programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of related experience; or a master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Event Planning, or a related field (or equivalent work experience); Minimum of 3 years of professional full-time experience in employer relations, marketing, event coordination, or related fields; Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with employers, tailor recruitment strategies, and support successful recruitment outcomes; Proficiency in graphic design tools, email marketing platforms, social media, event management software, and website content management systems; Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with employers, students, and staff effectively; Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; Strong customer service skills with a focus on student and employer satisfaction; Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment; Ability to supervise and mentor student employees, providing guidance and support in a professional development context; and, Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess data and adjust strategies based on insights.
