Journeyman Software Developer
to join our team in

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supports the design, engineering, analysis, and development of software systems and DevOps pipelines.
Assists in modeling software development processes and implementing agile-informed methodologies.
Participates in all phases of the SDLC, focusing on writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Integrates asset management tools with the ITSM platform, develops APIs, designs data models/database schemas, and creates data import/export routines.
Generates reports/dashboards, troubleshoots software issues, provides technical support, stays updated on new technologies, and receives guidance from senior staff.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a bachelors degree.
4+ years of experience with 2+ years of position-specific relevant experience.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
Understanding of IT asset management principles and best practices (e.g., ITIL).
Desired Qualifications: Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements: Must have an active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
