Position Summary

The

Special Projects Program Manager

is part of a small, dynamic team focused on the delivery of exceptional content pushing the boundaries of engineering, design and execution. You will be responsible for coordinating critical timelines and deliverables for special projects and special wishes, playing a key role in executing each client's truly unique vision and demonstrating that "Everything Is Important".

This position is located on-site in our Torrance location.

This is not a people leader role; you will be managing projects.

Essential Functions

Identify program deliverables and develop plans to ensure that they are met Act as point of contact for all program functions to coordinate information flow Drive internal teams towards containment and resolution of issues raised from design reviews, virtual builds, and build events to protect the program's schedule to start of production (SOP) Monitor work outputs and deliverables for potential systems and vehicle incompatibilities and opportunities for greater integration, velocity, and collaboration. Manage multiple complex programs and deliverables simultaneously, bringing together all relevant stakeholders as necessary to drive progress Ensure problems are transparent and risks are identified and proactively ensure that risk mitigating actions are ongoing within relevant teams Provide project management support for special wishes and special projects Work cross-departmentally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Design Studio and Commercial teams to ensure business is operating efficiently Set agenda for key decisions to be made at each meeting to eliminate bottlenecks and retire risks Support team KPI's and timeline tracking Detailed working level issue resolution, with root cause identification Support development of work instructions for manufacturing Plan, execute, and initiate process improvement Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure deliverables associated with manufacturing and operations processes are tracked and handed off Maintain supplier relationships in collaboration with Supply Chain team to ensure timely deliveries for build events Ensure that all stakeholders understand the company's vision, short and long-term goals, and ensure that goals are met within specified deadlines Work in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player Performs all duties assigned Qualifications:

Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree Five years of related experience in automotive/aerospace sectors Project management experience Preferred Education/Experience and/or Certifications:

Experience with low volume production Experience with luxury automotive OEM CATIA, or similar CAD software Skills/Abilities/Attributes

Possesses strong business acumen with the ability to navigate communications with key stakeholders and align needs them with long-term business objectives Strong ability to coach and lead fellow team members within the department Leads inter-departmental collaboration and communication to drive projects forward Extensive detailed material flow analysis experience to make data-influenced decisions and summarize results to present from techs on the floor to leadership Experience with developing, optimizing, and analyzing assembly and test processes Strong project management skills Experience driving cross-functional change within large organizations Experience bringing teams and processes from a development phase to full production Experience designing greenfield facility layouts and/or material flow strategy Strong mechanical intuition and extensive hands-on experience modifying jigs, fixtures, and coordinating equipment installations Proficient working with SQL, Excel, or similar data analysis software Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Jira Able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment Possesses presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company Effective written and verbal communications skills; ability to express ideas clearly and actively listen to others Team oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to multiple deadlines Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently Excellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines and to meet deadlines Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Compensation The starting salary range for this position is between $85,120 - 106,400. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
