Organization Summary Statement:
The Digital Content Strategist, in the Office of Communications, A. James Clark School of Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park, is responsible for helping devise and/or advise on, and implement a full-circle digital strategy that can draw people's attention and keep it.
We are seeking a strategic and idea-rich individual who understands and leverages current and emerging trends in audience engagement to produce digital content that drives the Clark School and Communication team's strategic goals. Through a thoughtful combination of websites, email campaigns, social media, digital screens, and other modes of multimedia communication, this individual will:
Develop, execute, and assess user journeys that account for audience preferences and modern modes of delivery.
Produce (or lead the production of) multimedia content and influencer partnerships to expand our storytelling impact.
Progressively grow our targeted audiences and, even more, move those audiences from recipient to active, engaged user.

Physical Demands: Predominantly sedentary position/work.
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to sit for an extended time and operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Ability to review, prepare, and analyze data and figures; transcribe; view a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Ability to traverse campus to deliver and pick up materials.
Ability to communicate with internal and external contacts. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Preferences: Experience with higher education-focused content development and management and/or knowledge of engineering
Knowledge of UI/UX and Section 508 of ADA
High level proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud
At least one to three (1-3) years of experience managing others (e.g., full- and part-time staff and student workers).
Experience with influencer and content creator partnerships.
Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud/other email marketing platforms.
Licenses/ Certifications: NA
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five (5) years of professional communications, web development, or web design experience.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks. Knowledge of the web project lifecycle. Knowledge of methods, procedures, techniques and technology availability for web, tablet, mobile and digital projects. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws. Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
