Job Summary and Responsibilities
Goldman Sachs is looking for talented Software Engineers to join Goldman's mission-critical enterprise messaging engineering team. You will be doing hands-on engineering, writing automation to enhance this critical technology with a focus on functional correctness, message durability, system security, and more. The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Basic Qualifications
Experience in designing, deploying, and operating production-grade messaging infrastructure across multiple enterprise use cases.
Experience in atleast one of Apache Kafka, IBM MQ and TIBCO EMS.
Experience in one or more of the following: Java, Python or shell scripting.
Demonstrable experience in basic UNIX and Networking concepts.
Demonstrable experience in analyzing and resolving production issues.
Demonstrable experience in developing effective monitoring solutions, automation and procedures to improve reliability and reduce manual intervention.
Demonstrable experience in providing technical guidance on established messaging infrastructure to application owners.
Demonstrable experience in managing complex requirements and defining a clear delivery roadmap to stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications Understanding of security protocols used on the Internet and in Enterprise (TLS, Kerberos, OIDC/OAuth) Experience with JMS specifications. Experience with Elastic Search, BigQuery, Prometheus, Grafana. Experience with multiple Enterprise Messaging products (Kafka, Tibco EMS, RabbitMQ or others )
