Position Overview:
A nationally recognized engineering and construction management firm is seeking an experienced
HVAC Project Manager / Supervisor
to lead high-profile commercial, government, and data center projects from its headquarters in Johnstown, PA. This is an excellent opportunity to manage complex mechanical systems and support the full lifecycle of building engineering projects within a dynamic, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities: Lead construction projects involving HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work meets specifications, quality standards, and budget requirements Manage project activities from contract award through closeout, including RFIs, submittals, scheduling, system installation, and final walkthroughs Conduct site visits, field surveys, and studies to support HVAC system design for government and mission-critical facilities Collaborate with engineering teams across disciplines to ensure design accuracy and contract compliance Maintain and apply quality assurance standards throughout project execution Qualifications & Requirements: Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience 10+ years of experience in construction management or MEP building systems design Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Ability to obtain or currently hold a
Top Secret Security Clearance Occasional travel to project sites required Preferred Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership abilities with the capability to manage HVAC systems from design through construction Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple complex projects Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding client service Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
