Job Responsibilities
Spartanburg Community College is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to bring our mascot, Chaser, to life at campus events and community appearances. This individual will engage with students, fans, and the community to create unforgettable moments and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform as Chaser and represent the College at designated and assigned events, college functions, and community appearances. Be willing to attend various campus and community events, including some nights and weekends.
Interact with students, faculty/staff, and community members to promote and enhance their experience with the College.
Participate in photo sessions, meet and greets, and promotional activities as assigned.
Assist in the upkeep of the mascot costume to ensure its presentable at all times.
Adhere to the College's Mascot Code of Conduct, as well as all of the College's policies and procedures; adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Must be able to have reliable transportation and take responsibility for their own transportation needs to and from events.
Participate in all trainings, workshops, meetings, as outlined by the Office of Student Life.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Be at least 18 years of age or older. Must pass a criminal background check. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be well organized, punctual, dependable, and have a positive attitude. Ability to perform physical activities, including dancing, jumping, and other movements.

Workdays and hours vary depending on event needs. Occasional weekends as needed.
