Job Description:
As a Governance Analyst, you will support the IT Governance practice focused on process improvement, standardization, reporting, and risk minimization. This role is critical in ensuring compliance by reviewing existing processes and developing documentation to support Governance initiatives. You will also contribute to issue resolution, operationalize Governance practices, and support the development and dissemination of IT Governance artifacts including audit responses and control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to IT services to align IT investments with enterprise business goals and agency guidance Develop, update, and maintain IT governance documents including IIMS, policies, and guidelines Translate complex technical and compliance concepts into clear, understandable documentation Support technical writing and review for governance documents and policies Oversee the IT audit inquiry process, coordinating with auditors and stakeholders to ensure compliance evidence is provided Oversee IT audit remediation by collaborating with developers, engineers, and IT leadership to address non-compliance issues Coordinate requirements submission and execution for the Audit Kanban to ensure accurate detail and scope Provide input into augmenting governance models for critical ITD processes
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
Demonstrated knowledge or experience in process modeling with Microsoft Visio Experience drafting policy, technical briefings, and executive-focused presentations and reports Familiarity with Agile project management environments preferred Knowledge of IT audit and compliance response processes Understanding of IT Governance best practices and tools, with willingness to learn agency-specific implementations Ability to work independently, creatively, and analytically in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail, excellent listening skills, and effective verbal and written communication skills
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
