IT System Administrator

for our growing, fast-paced medical business office. Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS) is recognized for its

Monday

through

Friday , typically between

8:00 a.m . and

5:00 p.m.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The IT System Administrator is responsible for keeping Olympic Sports & Spine's computers, peripherals, and technological systems functioning at optimal levels. This includes computer and peripheral connections, backup strategies, User Directory/Group Policy Management, and endpoint security oversight. The IT System Administrator works directly with 3rd party consultants, vendors, and internal IT staff to support Olympic Sports & Spine's goals and mission.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, enhance, maintain, and monitor Olympic Sports & Spine's (OSS) enterprise systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and performance optimization, focusing on computer endpoints.

Administer and maintain key Microsoft services including:

Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)

Azure Active Directory (user/group management, conditional access, security configurations)

Microsoft Intune and Purview (device enrollment, compliance policies, endpoint management)

Lead or support the integration and deployment of projects involving hardware, software, and cloud services.

Collaborate on automation and workflow improvements using Power Automate, Power Apps, and the Microsoft Power Platform.

Serve as Level 2+ support for technical issues escalated from the help desk team

Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives, including vulnerability management, access controls, and user training.

Assist in developing and maintaining IT documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

System Administration

Develops and maintains system documentation. Responsible for maintaining software licensing logs and ensuring compliance with usage rights. Performs routine audits as per Olympic Sports & Spine policy.

Work with companies that are used to aid in the design and deployment of core network systems. Works in conjunction with 3rd party vendors and IT Staff to install, implement, maintain and monitor all computerized applications, hardware and software including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Applications, server operating systems, Directory Services, databases, EMR applications, interfaces, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Wi-Fi access points, Group Policy, OSS's internal and external network architecture.

Application Management

Assists with management and design of internal Olympic Sports & Spine applications such as SharePoint and publicly facing websites, file shares, and other system applications, including, but not limited to Paycom and Microsoft 365, as instructed. Works with the EMR Systems Analyst and other team members to support Olympic Sports & Spine clinical applications.

System and Application Support

Responds to staff's requests for technical support; documents all responses/activities in the help desk as needed. Analyzes, troubleshoots, and assists in the resolution of complex problems with business applications, networking, and hardware with the support of 3rd party IT support groups and as directed. Performs technical support for workstations and printers over the phone, in person, and via remote connection as needed.

Assists Olympic Sports & Spine staff with technical workflows associated with the EMR system and general computer use by reviewing training materials and explaining standard operating procedures; collaborates with established training staff to ensure understanding of current workflows.

Develops, tests, and/or modifies computer systems as required for Olympic Sports & Spine standard technical operation environment. Documents and communicates the system configuration with 3rd party IT support groups.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assists in the development and implementation of EMR and other clinical applications, systems, reports, and projects.

Configures and installs all physical end-user equipment, including, but not limited to, monitors, printers, USB/serial-connected devices, phones, and scanners.

Acts as an initial point of contact for break/fix issues on all end-user hardware as outlined above. Works in conjunction with various 3rd party vendors to resolve hardware issues in a timely manner.

Develops and maintains network, printer, and server documentation

Develops and maintains technical application documentation for electronic medical records systems, backups, software applications and networking components - working in conjunction with contracted IT support vendors as needed.

Ensure software licensing logs are in order and provide compliance/usage reports.

Perform routine audits of all networks, computer/server, and end-user technical equipment.

Installs, implements, maintains, and monitors all computerized applications, servers, hardware, and software, including MS Office applications, server operating systems, Directory Services, domain environment, database, Exchange Server, Wi-Fi access points, Group Policy configurations, and backups.

Communicates and coordinates all IT issues with management in various departments.

Assists in purchasing IT related hardware as required.

Maintains audit logs and configurations of critical technology equipment.

Responsible for maintaining the network backup and emergency operating systems, and planning - ensuring proper backups and testing backups periodically for compliance with established backup strategies. Creates written documentation of existing backup procedures and maintains historical logs for auditing purposes.

Assists in the development and provides support for internally developed applications such as SharePoint.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience with electronic medical record systems and database management.

Experience developing and delivering training, including materials and other written support documents.

Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on IT Support experience.

3+ years' IT project management experience.

Strong troubleshooting skills.

Experience with trouble ticketing systems.

Experience with Microsoft Exchange and the Microsoft 365 suite of systems.

Directory Services, Group Policy, domain and forest architecture, design, and implementation experience.

Must possess a valid Washington State driver's license and liability insurance for personal vehicle.

Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise, and accurate manner as it pertains to the job.

Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.

DESIRED:

Experience with PowerShell scripting.

Experience with Microsoft 365

Experience with Microsoft Power Platform

Experience in HTML and Java/JavaScript coding.

Budget development, projection, and justification experience.

Project planning and management experience.
