Watercraft Inspection Specialist . This position is available immediate and may lead to long term employment. Must have a valid drivers license and be able to work outdoors.
Job Description
Perform AIS watercraft inspections and decontamination utilizing high pressure hot water (140°F) to prevent the introduction and spread of aquatic invasive species; operate and perform minor repairs on a mobile decontamination unit; collect AIS boater information; perform educational AIS outreach tow a mobile decontamination unit utilizing a state vehicle.
Incumbents will be outdoors a majority of the time and often in inclement weather and will be required to physically move around, in and underneath stationary land based watercraft.
Weekend/Holiday duties are required. Incumbents will be trained to perform watercraft inspections and decontamination.
* Must be able to pass and maintain criminal and DMV background check and drug test.*
Shifts could be 8-10 hours a day.
