Summary
The Quality Control Inspector will audit the quality of GLOVIS services including, but not limited to, underbody coat applications, vehicle processing operations, PIO parts installations, load line processes, export processes, body shop repairs, and rail loading.
Responsibilities
Perform new vehicle audits
Must be able to audit the quality of all GLOVIS services and have the ability to detect minor vehicle issues. Must have good color vision. Inspect cars using GPQMS Audit App, specialized camera, and/or check sheets. Properly document results of the inspection and take pictures of non-conforming items. Must be truthful when recording results of inspections. Alert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns immediately. Provide feedback to resolve compliance issues.
Audit employee compliance with standardized processes, procedures, bulletins, and work instructions
Assist with creating and monitoring corrective actions and countermeasures Provide input on how to correct known issues within various departments Alert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns that are found during inspection process immediately. Notify Supervisor/Manager if units flagged for defects are not repaired in a timely manner.
Assist with the development of audit strategies
Assist with training of new staff on quality inspections. Assist with development and implementation of audit strategies, audit related policies and procedures, and assessment schedules
This position is required to fill in where needed, including, but not limited to, all Tier 1 & 2 positions Other duties as assigned. Skills
Ability to adapt to process change and ISO standards Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to record and verify numbers 17 characters in length Computer literacy with experience in Bluetooth/ RF technology and logistics software preferred Education & Experience
High School Diploma/G.E.D Must hold a valid state-issued driver's license without restrictions 1 year Quality Inspection preferred Physical Requirements
