Our Project Management Office team, within our expansive Technology department, is looking to bring on an experienced QA engineer on-site for a contract position to work closely with stakeholders to write and execute manual test cases, automate those test cases, and report on the results in a Microsoft environment with multiple complex projects. The right person for this opportunity will be a self-starter with a can-do attitude-a creative problem solver with strong analytical skills. Our workplace environment is fast-paced, so the ability to stay on top of multiple projects is essential. As a QA contractor, your responsibilities would include: Writing test plans and test casesReporting, analyzing, and tracking defectsAssisting with software releasesRunning SQL queries to validate resultsWorking closely with other QA members, Development, and stakeholdersPotentially participating in a scrum team The ideal candidate would also meet the following requirements: 2-5 years' testing experience in information services/technologyProficiency with basic SQL queriesExperience working in a Microsoft environment; TFS and Visual Studio experience a plusFamiliarity with testing web-based applications; SaaS a plusExperience with bug tracking systems, particularly TFSStrong written and verbal communication skills Experience with the following would be a plus: Financial services Agile methodology.NET, and/or JavaScriptWe are not your typical financial services firm.
