Position description The Department of Professional and Continuing Education (Extension) at UC Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary, part-time instructors to teach on-site and online courses for our Applied Behavior Analysis Program for upcoming openings. We seek qualified applicants with current subject matter expertise and a passion for teaching in the following programs and courses: Applied Behavior Analysis Supervision Course Assistant Behavior Analysis Supervision Course Instructor duties include but are not limited to: Making appropriate adjustments to improve the syllabus, curriculum, and course materials based on feedback. Preparing and delivering course materials and designing assessments. Designing engaging classroom activities to reinforce learning. Staying current within the subject area. Using expertise and additional resources to enhance the curriculum. Communicating objectives and grading policies clearly. Responding promptly to student questions and needs. Employing culturally competent and inclusive teaching methods. Evaluating student achievement and assigning grades. Posting final grades within two weeks of course completion. Handling inquiries and retaining student records according to policies. The department values candidates who contribute to diversity and excellence through research, teaching, and service. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. The posting remains open until March 31, 2026, with the pool closing on that date. Continued consideration requires submitting a new application if the position is re-advertised. Note: The use of an instructor pool does not guarantee an open position. Screening begins immediately after the review date; some appointments may start as early as summer 2025. Appointments are on a course-by-course basis and may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance. Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

Master's degree, Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential Additional qualifications:
