Position Overview We are seeking a Process Supervisor for the Specialty Department. This role manages unionized workers involved in the manufacturing of sugar products. Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the specialty sugar process, including production, quality, safety, and employee supervision. Manage sugar refining operations on assigned shifts. Supervise teams to ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) and safe operating procedures. Achieve production volume, quality standards, and regulatory compliance by supervising up to 30 hourly workers across rotating shifts. Lead in an organized labor environment to achieve results through subordinates. Maintain knowledge of operation of equipment such as Afflation & Melting, Carbonation, Char & Carbon Filtration, and others. Work effectively with team members and management. Possess basic mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation understanding. Utilize computer systems effectively. Manage liquid process systems using knowledge of fluid systems, chemistry, and math. Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Require 2-3 years of industrial supervision experience, with effective communication skills. Be available for rotating shifts and weekend work. Perform industrial labor tasks, including walking, climbing ladders, working around heavy equipment, and in confined spaces. Work Experience
2-3 years in manufacturing, preferably in food, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries. Education Requirements
College degree in Engineering or related science, or equivalent military experience preferred. High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
