Business Development Director-Brokerage The Business Development Director will hire, train, and motivate a team of high-performing Business Development Representatives, fostering a supportive culture to achieve growth targets. This role requires sales acumen, relationship-building skills, and result-driven mindset. Responsibilities

Build and oversee a team of Business Development Representatives, providing coaching to meet sales targets. Mentor team members through training and feedback, fostering entrepreneurial mindset. Conduct performance reviews and establish career development paths. Manage outbound prospecting, including cold calling and email outreach. Position the company’s services to solve clients’ supply chain pain points. Support crafting and presenting tailored supply chain solutions. Drive team to meet and exceed sales goals, focusing on new customer acquisition. Lead pricing strategy, negotiations, and closing techniques. Track performance metrics and pipeline progress, reporting on successes and areas for improvement. Coordinate with internal departments for smooth client onboarding and issue resolution. Engage with procurement, pricing, and customer service teams to align on client expectations. Nurture relationships with current customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships. Provide strategic guidance on freight issues and customer service standards. Stay updated on industry trends to keep the team’s approach innovative. Participate in professional development to maintain sales, negotiation, and logistics expertise. Experience

3+ years of sales management experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation. Proven track record of building client relationships and driving revenue. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability to lead and inspire a high-performing sales team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Hubspot) and TMS (e.g., McLeod) preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call support. This position offers a competitive base salary.
