Activities Director
to lead and manage our life enrichment program. This full-time position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a dynamic calendar of events and activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional wellness for our residents. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a monthly activities calendar that includes group events, individual programming, and community outings Lead recreational and therapeutic activities such as arts & crafts, games, music, movement, social events, and educational programs Collaborate with nursing staff, social services, and dietary teams to support holistic resident care Supervise and train activity assistants and volunteers Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to activity programming Foster a fun, inclusive, and resident-centered environment
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy, social work, or a related field preferred Certified Activity Director or eligibility to obtain certification (NCCAP or state equivalent) Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to motivate and inspire residents of varying physical and cognitive abilities Creativity, compassion, and a positive attitude
