The Project Director provides leadership and oversight to project management teams to ensure projects are managed and constructed safely and efficiently, leading to successful completion. Leadership Attributes: Serve as a dynamic leader, modeling and supporting servant leadership principles. Be a collaborative leader, relationship builder, and voice for the industry. Be a forward thinker with strategic and long-range planning skills. Support corporate improvement initiatives and development of self and others. Responsibilities: Ensure projects comply with IDOT and MoDOT regulations and standards. Oversee project management teams for successful project completion. Lead and manage projects, providing estimating support as needed. Mentor team members for cost-effective construction methods. Review labor and equipment resources to meet project needs efficiently. Provide monthly project updates to the Vice President. Participate in subcontractor and owner meetings. Foster relationships with clients and prospects. Guide professional development of team members. Oversee projects to meet production and profit goals. Assist in resolving construction claims. Review project progress, schedules, and budgets regularly. Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards. Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum of 15 years in the construction industry. Experience with heavy civil construction and managing IDOT or MoDOT projects. Knowledge of project requirements, regulations, and compliance standards. High integrity, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines. Self-starter, team player, and professional communicator. Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles. Ability to read and interpret drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Heavy Bid/Job. Managed By:
