Who We’re Looking For:
A Senior Product Manager for a direct hire role with our direct client named as one Forbes best companies to work for year over year. This role requires onsite at headquarters in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the product strategy and lifecycle management of stationary diesel-powered industrial generator sets. This role owns cross-functional leadership with P&L responsibility and is instrumental in launching new products, analyzing market trends, and building a forward-looking roadmap. The ideal candidate thrives in a manufacturing and engineering environment, brings a strategic mindset to product innovation, and collaborates across departments to bring ideas to market.

Responsibilities:
Develop and drive product category strategy, targeting measurable goals such as revenue growth, margin expansion, and market share. Conduct industry and customer-focused market research to guide product development priorities and validate roadmap direction. Act as the product expert—understanding specifications, features, market drivers, and the competitive landscape. Create and maintain a three-year product roadmap that includes new product concepts, updates to existing offerings, and cost-reduction initiatives. Present product strategies and performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders. Influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment, ensuring alignment and buy-in across the organization. Collaborate with engineering teams to incorporate technical, regulatory, and legislative considerations into product plans. Support sales and marketing initiatives during product launches and key milestones. Lead the product development process through stage-gate methodologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, engineering, technical sales, or similar roles. Proven experience developing and launching technical products within a manufacturing/engineering environment. Proficiency in using market analysis to inform strategic decisions. Strong business case development and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Strong technical comprehension and ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences. Proactive problem solver with a strong bias for action.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Master's Degree in a related field. Experience in the power generation industry, particularly with commercial and industrial diesel generator systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Engineering background with demonstrated success launching complex engineered products. Experienced in managing products with multiple subsystems in a B2B setting. High level of mechanical aptitude and ability to influence technical roadmaps.
