Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin

Ideal Candidate:

The candidate has an engineering background and experience launching engineering products with multiple sub-systems.

The Senior Product Manager - Stationary Diesel Industrial Generators develops product strategy with P&L responsibility for Generac's industrial diesel generator sets. Responsibilities include product lifecycle management, successful product launches, market analysis, and driving a three-year product roadmap in collaboration with business leaders. The role also involves maintaining category research, analyzing data, and communicating issues to ensure product quality and resolution.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field

At least 3 years of experience in product management, engineering, or technical sales

Additional Qualifications:

Market analysis skills and understanding of competitive landscape

Ability to articulate business cases to stakeholders

Technical understanding of product development in a manufacturing environment

Experience launching new products using a cross-disciplinary approach

Experience in a B2B industrial or commercial setting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Organizational and prioritization skills

Proactive problem-solving and innovation skills

Ability to interpret technical information for diverse audiences

Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or Master’s Degree

Experience in Power Generation Industry

Key Duties:

Develop and execute product category strategies to increase revenue and profitability

Prioritize strategies based on market demand and business needs

Conduct industry and customer research

Synthesize data to guide product development

Act as a product category expert

Create and manage a three-year product roadmap

Report on product metrics and trends

Communicate strategy across teams and stakeholders

Lead cross-functional teams through product development stages

Support sales activities and product launches

Collaborate with engineering on regulatory and IP considerations
