This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing, focused on developing and executing dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. The company has accumulated over 9GW of projects and is currently expanding rapidly.
The Energy Storage Operations & Maintenance Director will integrate with the leadership team to drive operational strategy across the company's assets, focusing on warranties, fleet management, commissioning, and testing.
The role involves working with a team focused on energy storage asset management, O&M, energy trading strategies, and real-time operations, collaborating with senior leaders to optimize renewable energy battery storage assets nationwide.

Responsibilities:
Oversee field-based O&M functions for utility-scale battery storage assets nationwide to maximize performance and revenue.
Develop and implement asset-based operations and maintenance strategies aligned with power trading and market strategies.
Drive asset optimization through collaboration with IT and OT departments.
Lead troubleshooting initiatives to improve project performance, focusing on system enhancement and process improvement.
Manage relationships with third-party contractors and vendors to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate with other directors and executive stakeholders on asset O&M, compliance, risk management, and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or similar; 10+ years in renewable energy O&M leadership, including energy storage experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Proven success in field asset management, O&M strategy, and portfolio optimization in renewable energy sectors.
Experience with energy storage, BESS, or battery O&M providers and OEM equipment manufacturers is highly preferred.
Ability to lead compliance with OSHA, ISO/RTO, and NERC standards.
Relevant roles include Sr. Director of Asset Management, O&M Director, or similar leadership positions in renewable or clean energy companies.
