Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA) This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing, focused on developing and executing dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. The company has accumulated over 9GW of projects and is in an accelerated expansion phase. The Energy Storage Operations & Maintenance Director will join the leadership team to drive operational strategy for assets across the company's portfolio in a growing Asset Management Division. The role focuses on field-based O&M strategies, including warranties, fleet management, commissioning, and testing. This team specializes in energy storage asset management, O&M, energy trading strategies, and real-time operations. The role involves collaboration with asset management and energy trading teams to optimize renewable energy battery storage assets nationwide. Responsibilities:

Manage field-based O&M functions for utility-scale battery storage assets nationwide to ensure peak performance and revenue maximization.

Develop and implement asset-based O&M strategies aligned with power trading and market operations.

Optimize assets through evaluation of equipment, hardware, and software, collaborating with IT and OT departments.

Lead troubleshooting initiatives to improve project performance, system enhancements, and process improvements.

Manage relationships with third-party contractors and vendors to maximize production and safety, while increasing cost efficiencies.

Coordinate with stakeholders on asset O&M, safety standards, risk management, and financial reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field, with utility-scale renewables experience; 10+ years in O&M leadership, or equivalent experience in energy storage.

Proven success in field asset management, portfolio optimization, and technical asset management within renewables sector.

Experience with energy storage, BESS, or OEM equipment is highly preferred.

Ability to ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO/RTO, and NERC standards.

Ideal candidates include roles such as Sr. Director of Asset Management, Director of Technical Asset Management, or similar leadership positions in renewable or clean energy companies.
