This position is located onsite at our facility in Shakopee, MN. There is no option for remote or hybrid work.
This role manages the warehouse operations within an assigned Distribution Center. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing warehouse operations, generally in a large, high volume, highly automated and complex facility. This position is categorized as compliance critical and, as such, requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements.
The Senior Operations Manager will partner directly with the Director of Operations to develop the skills necessary to successfully lead a warehouse on their own.
This person will be expected to be relocatable within 12-24 months in order to move into a Director of Operations role should one become available within the network.
Promote and lead with Cencora's purpose and guiding principles and develop a culture of inclusion, equity, and diversity in the DC.
Enable and focus on talent development and succession planning in the DC and network wide.
Direct all activities associated with successful warehouse operations in the Distribution Center; ensure efficient operation of automated warehouse systems and processes, with a focus on outbound operations. Lead a team of Warehouse Managers to prioritize projects and initiatives through collaboration, operate with urgency, proactively solve problems, and drive performance improvements and standardization.
Manage the process of order filling, outbound shipping, receiving, and stocking.
Manage labor and hours to optimize operational efficiency. Support compliance with policies, safety rules, DEA regulations; maintain security.
Monitor performance and productivity, act as a change agent to maximize earnings, reduce expenses, and improve quality.
Act as a backup for leadership as needed.
Review and improve standard operating procedures to enhance customer experience, efficiency, accuracy, and reduce costs.
Monitor staff performance to ensure policy compliance.
Supervise recruitment, performance management, training, and development of warehouse staff. Ensure equipment maintenance and proper operation.
Willing to work extended hours, split shifts, and weekends as needed.
Establish positive relationships with staff.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or similar, or equivalent experience and education.
Work Experience:
3-5 years of related, progressively responsible experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
Relocatable to meet business needs.
Knowledge of automated warehouse systems.
Effective communication skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Leadership and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
