Location: Chicago, IL To be successful in this role you should be a self-starter, creative thinker, problem-solver, and are responsible for recommending, developing and executing strategies that will maximize brand and product communication at retail and at key events via merchandising, promotion, and other tools. Responsible for management of key regional relationships. Customize promotions and merchandising activity for strategic accounts. Execute national promotion plans. Evaluate and benchmark our promotions versus competition based on judgment, field, and customer feedback. Work in tandem with other markets to inform of opportunities and follow through. What you will do: Collaborate with our distribution partners to provide marketing support, including lead generation activities, promotional materials, and local market insights. Implement and manage marketing campaigns, events, and promotions tailored to your specific market. Ensure alignment with overall marketing strategy and business objectives. Create lasting and authentic relationships with storefront owners and retailers through merchandising for favorable location, inventory tracking, and in-store sampling opportunities. Interact with customers directly to build relationships, gather feedback, and drive engagement. Represent the brand professionally and effectively in all interactions. Coordinate and execute local events, trade shows, and promotional activities. Handle logistics, vendor relationships, and on-site management to ensure successful execution. Find and recruit on-premise and event spaces to grow our accounts. Conduct market research to identify local trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences. Utilize insights to adapt marketing strategies and tactics. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of field marketing activities. Provide regular reports and recommendations to improve performance and ROI. The ideal candidate will have: At least 3 years of prior CPG or beverage experience Experience in market sales or client relations Extensive on-premise relationships in Chicago market Ability to lift and move product (up to 50lbs) Proficiency in Google Suite and Merchandising software Ability to learn and become an expert in the Cannabis/CBD/Hemp field Persuasive selling skills and relentless drive Ability to communicate confidently with customer counterparts, orally and written Possession of a computer and access to a reliable internet Thorough understanding of category management selling concepts and tools Event and tradeshow experience is a plus Seniority level
