Product Line Manager (PLM)
positions within our C5ISR Modular Solutions business unit, which develops advanced embedded electronics. Positions are available in the US and Canada, with flexibility for remote work or based out of a Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions
US facility
(excluding CA, NY, MN). Role Overview As a Product Line Manager, you will oversee the success of the C5ISR product portfolio, serving as the SME for specific product lines such as mission processing, signal processing, HPEC architectures, CPU/FPGA/GPU, and emerging AI systems. You will contribute to business growth through bids, proposals, and technical reviews. Qualifications & Responsibilities
Experience with High Performance Embedded Computing (HPEC), embedded signal processing, CPU architectures, FPGA, and GPU processing. Manage product lifecycle from inception to sunset, developing innovative solutions aligned with market needs and business growth strategies. Ensure products differentiate through features, pricing, and support, increasing market share and revenue. Develop strategies, business cases, and forecasts for products, ensuring competitive and differentiated offerings. Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to define features, technical specifications, and market positioning. Oversee product development to meet TTM, DTC, and ROI targets, maintaining product health through sales reviews and market-driven enhancements. Build partner relationships and support customer engagement, negotiations, and solution proposals. Support new product introductions, marketing content, white papers, and industry standards participation. Minimum Requirements
Relevant hardware/software engineering or business degree, with 7+ years in product/engineering management or technical marketing. US citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance. Proven ability to develop innovative products, build customer relationships, and understand market strategies. Knowledge of embedded processing technologies, system architecture, and industry standards. Skills & Attributes
Motivated, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented with strong business acumen. Ability to analyze complex data, articulate value propositions, and support decision-making. Knowledge of defense/aerospace embedded systems, including processors, FPGA, GPU, networking, safety standards, and security technologies. Willingness to travel frequently for customer support, industry events, and business development.
