Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client's team as Cook - Food Nutrition Services. You will prepare a wide variety of foods ensuring the attractiveness, palatability, and temperature of food in accordance with standardized recipes and standard operating procedures. Complies with Company, federal, and state health codes.
Job Description
Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and dietary requirements. Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety practices always. Assist with setup and breakdown of workstations and kitchen equipment. Collaborate with dietary and healthcare staff to accommodate special diets. Follow daily production schedules and adjust as needed. Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely, efficient manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. Skills Required
Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or institutional food service environment preferred. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety standards. Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings and weekends. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Six months food service experience is preferred. Education/Training/Certifications
High school graduate or equivalent Additional Requirements
Varying Shifts- Some opening at 5:30 a.m. and Some shifts starting at 11:00 am Dress code: Personal cook jacket (black), Black pants and non-slip shoes Pay Rate
$17.00 per hour
