BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for supportingwaitstaff in carrying beverages and delivering meal items from food trucks todesignated tables. Duties include communicating with servers to determine theirneeds, carrying food items from the expediting or food truck counter to theright table and helping with cleanup duties after the conclusion of service.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
a) Reportsto: Beverage Manager, Beverage Supervisor
SPECIFIC DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES •Deliver food orders to customers quickly and accurately. •Uphold sanitation and food safety principles. •Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash. •Check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory. •Relay reports on customer satisfaction to the management and relevantparties. •Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properlyenjoy their food. •Assist setting up tables before service with appropriate equipment,napkins and decorations. •Handle various impromptu requests from customers.
EDUCATION, TRAINING ANDEXPERIENCE •HighSchool education.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE •A Food Runner must be able to multitask in orderto ensure customers get their orders promptly. •Food Runners will have to possess a high degreeof organizational skills to easily locate tables and bar patrons to fulfilleveryone's orders. •A Food Runner needs excellent communicationskills to ensure they meet customers' requests. Not only does the Food Runnerhave to listen to learn where the food needs to go, but they also mustcommunicate with the customers whether it's checking on their satisfaction ortaking an impromptu request. •Food Runners spend most of their shift standing,so they need to be able to remain on their feet for several hours straight.
MENTAL AND PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS •Medium work, ability to move up to 50 lbs.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT ANDCONDITIONS •Most activities will occur outside and aresubject to weather conditions. •Subject to loud noise levels.
