ProSidian Seeks a Quality Assurance Consultant - GSSC (Time and Materials) to support an engagement for the US Dept. of Energy (DOE) Hanford. Preferred candidates present with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal) - SCA Code: N/A. This position is located in the CONUS - Northwest Region. The Quality Assurance Consultant - GSSC shall work to support requirements for PENDING ID# 1.04 ORP QA/QC Functions and Expert Program Reviewers Swim Lanes and statement of work (SOW) while maintaining required qualifications with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal). ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of the Engagement Team Cadre to provide Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) Functions and Expert Program Reviews as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of River Protection (ORP). The QA/QC Professional shall provide Subject Matter Expertise to ORP and function in the role of expert reviewers for ORP Programs as described under sections a, b, and c. The Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) Professional shall provide eight full time Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ORP, who can function in the role of expert reviewers for ORP Programs as described under sections a, b, and c. a. support the TRS-QAD and Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) in its efforts to manage and oversee the WTP Quality Assurance, Nuclear Safety, Safety and Health divisions. Preference is given to ability to obtain knowledge and application of requirements in accordance with DOE Orders, ORP procedures, and the ORP Quality Assurance Program Description for oversight and quality activities. In addition, this Task will include providing auditor support to the ORP Quality Assurance Division (QAD) as requested, during their performance of ORP and the WTP contractor independent oversight. Overall assist ORP in its efforts to manage and oversee the WTP Project in accordance with DOE Orders, ORP procedures, and the ORP Quality Assurance Program Description and performing the following: Support WTP in assuring that the WTP Quarterly Assessment Program Committee (APC) review report adequately summarizes WTP's oversight program, including results overview and performance trending; Support WTP self-assessment efforts (develop self-assessment plans, participate in performance of self-assessments, and document results); Support WTP by providing quality related oversight functions (perform as an oversight team member lead) to WTP Federal Project Directors in their efforts to address performance issues and verify completion of facility milestones; Provide oversight support to external WTP and internal WTP auditing efforts (perform as a qualified assessor/auditor in QAD independent audits, surveillances, or assessments); Perform oversight of BNI efforts to address Priority Level 1 Findings, including monitoring and reporting on any improvements in BNI's Assurance Program, extent of condition reviews, and issue resolution efforts; Develop and manage the WTP records system to ensure these records are identified, stored, and retrievable in accordance with ORP's NQA-1 compliant Quality Assurance Program Description; Conduct quarterly reviews of BNI actions to address DOE Inspector General (OIG) Recommendations; Conduct effectiveness reviews of BNI actions to address PL-1 Findings and OIG Recommendations; Provide WTP Performance Assurance support to the AMWTP and Deputy AMWTP, as well as Division Directors, when needed for management assessments, action tracking and record management; Act as backup support to the Performance Assurance Manager. Provide support in preparing for and implementing oversight; Act as mentor to new GSSC employees who join the Performance Assurance Team. Train these new employee and interns on Quality Assurance processes; Act as the Team lead for the GSSC Performance Assurance Team, as well as being the technical oversight and quality SME for the WTP Performance Assurance Program; Review and comment on new and revised ORP Performance Assurances procedures and WTP oversight reports to ensure the documents are of high technical quality; Support the WTP Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager Provide auditing support as requested. b. assist and support quality and safety support to TRS-QAD and the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) in the startup and commissioning of the WTP projects and controls. c. provides DFLAW flow sheet analyst support, performs assessments of WRPS Tank Operations Contract Mission Integration Organization, to include RPP Integrated Flowsheet definition and analysis, strategic and operations planning and waste feed delivery planning. The Quality Assurance Consultant - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Education BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management. Experience Five (5) years of directly applicable experience providing technical or business support to management on projects. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors. Fully vaccinated against COVID, a granted exception to vaccination for COVID, or able to meet entry and testing requirements for entrance and work in federal buildings.
