Local CACI is seeking an experienced
Database Administrator
to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award of the USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES). Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to ensure high uptime and efficient operations. Regularly perform database tuning and optimization to improve query performance and overall system efficiency. Implement and manage backup strategies to ensure data integrity and recoverability in the event of failure. Develop and test disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and downtime in case of system failures. Implement and enforce database security measures, including encryption, access control, and auditing to protect sensitive information. Ensure databases comply with industry regulations and organizational data governance policies. Ensure data consistency and integrity by managing database constraints, triggers, and integrity checks. Perform regular database health checks, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure data quality. Work closely with development teams to optimize database queries, support data-related queries, and advise on best practices for database integration with applications. Provide technical support for database-related issues and serve as a point of escalation for complex issues. Maintain clear and detailed documentation for database configurations, procedures, and recovery strategies. Create and maintain reports regarding database performance, security audits, and backup status. Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations to keep systems current and secure. Required Skills
Current Secret Clearance with eligibility to obtain TS is required. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, including thorough technical documentation. BA/BS and 5+ years of experience; Masters and 3+ years of experience; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar database management role. Must meet DoD 8140 IAT Level II or IAM Level I. The proposed salary range for this position is $68,400-$143,700. Factors influencing final salary include geographic location, contract wage rates, relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications.
