Nurse Manager For Mother-Baby Care Unit
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager for our Mother-Baby Care Unit in Dallas. This pivotal role is responsible for leading and managing the department's functions in alignment with our mission and goals. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a robust background in critical thinking and decision-making within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Key Responsibilities: Ensure patient safety within Postpartum and Newborn Nursery environments. Utilize effective communication and information management skills in daily operations. Implement and uphold the ANA Standards of Care and Professional Practice. Act as a liaison to enhance partnerships with patients and their families. Support the continuity and coordination of care across various settings. Maintain high-quality, developmentally appropriate care for patient populations ranging from infants to adults. Develop and lead Women's Health-specific initiatives and process improvements. Foster collaborative practice and relationships with all healthcare team members. Oversee management of staff, payroll, budget, capital planning, and physician relationships. Coordinate with community and institutional partners. Supervise the organization of human and material resources. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education/Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of recent acute care leadership experience in a Mother-Baby Unit, though consideration will be given to those with 2 years of experience if they have held a supervisory role with responsibilities related to people management and process improvements. Licensure/Certification:
A current RN license in the State of Texas or a compact license is required. Candidates must hold a current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider card, along with NRP certification.
