The Consumer Lending Product Manager is responsible for managing product development, growth, and performance for Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Auto Loans, and other Consumer Loan Products. This position will assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring product strategies, growth, profitability, and performance. The position will provide guidance to ensure that PenAir Credit Union's product offerings fulfill the needs of the members, remain competitive, and support the strategic initiatives of the credit union.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops, maintains, and executes the Consumer Lending product strategy in collaboration and partnership with senior management; ensures the roadmap supports the credit union's strategic business plan, organizational KPIs, and departmental plans and growth goals. Establishes dashboard of KPIs of product success metrics; reports trends, important insights, potential issues, and opportunities to leadership on a regular basis; recommends adjustments to the established product strategy based on findings. Monitors and analyzes the Credit Card portfolio, identifying growth opportunities and developing products or strategies to support growth and meet the needs of our members. Work with senior management to develop growth strategy goals and KPI's for the Credit Card Portfolio. Monitor and report on financial performance of the portfolio. Develop promotional offers and/or campaigns to promote growth, engagement, utilization, and profitability of our Credit Card and other Consumer Loan products. Develop an annual campaign calendar and coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop, plan, execute, and monitor campaigns, promotional offers, or featured products. Ensure campaigns meet the needs of members and are profitable for the organization. Presents product recommendations for approval including development of new products, modifications to existing products, enhancements to product requirements, features, pricing, and financial forecasting analysis. Coordinates new product launch in collaboration with pertinent departments. Reviews and provides input on marketing plans, training content, and related product policies and procedures before product launch. Leads the product design process based on member needs, market research, and competitive analysis. Coordinates and/or co-manages vendor communication specific to the Consumer Lending Product ecosystem. Vendors may include but are not limited to: Pre-Approval vendors, Credit Card Processors, Rewards vendors, and other third parties as applicable. Works closely with Credit Card Servicing, Member Experience, Digital and other departments on third party relationships and initiatives. Acts as Project liaison for Consumer Lending when applicable to support implementations that impact Consumer Lending and the associated vendors. Conducts ongoing research and analysis of the competitive landscape on Credit Cards or other Consumer Loan products. Makes recommendations related to pricing, features, functionality, underwriting, or other product components to improve performance or enhance member engagement or usage. Performs other job-related duties required or assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including educational/preparatory experience. A bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Other Skills:
Strong supervisory, PC (technology), compliance, leadership, written and verbal communication skills.
