Job Description The nuclear Medicine technologist provides healthcare services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment. They possess advanced skills to perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, data processing, and other technical tasks necessary to produce images for interpretation by, and at the request of, a licensed practitioner. They exercise professional judgment in their services and maintain an ethical demeanor while providing appropriate care essential for successful procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technologist training program.
Certification:
National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire, or
National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire.
California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire.
National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Experience: 6 months of recent experience within the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with no more than 1 year of absence from nuclear medicine.
Preferred Qualifications 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program).
