The Supply Chain Manager will work along with the Vice President of Supply Chain & Service and lead the supply chain team to successfully manage all functions of inventory, purchasing, negotiations, contractual agreements, vendor management and all the associated costs. The Supply Chain Manager will work along with the Vice President of Supply Chain & Service and lead the supply chain team to successfully manage all functions of inventory, purchasing, negotiations, contractual agreements, vendor management and all the associated costs. Additionally, this position is tasked with driving forward continuous improvement and efficiencies within the department.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain & Service, the Supply Chain Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all aspects of the Supply Chain department of 4-6 employees Reduction of costs and lead times via the quoting process and account management Negotiating on behalf of the company for advantageous costs, terms and conditions Project, job, contractor, materials and equipment procurement Work with engineering and product development to locate and vet new suppliers and products Performs a focused approach on continuous strategic procurement Provides a customer centric approach to actively working with production and operations teams Builds supplier market intelligence and ensure that supply base data is available to support business decisions Independently manages strategic purchasing initiatives and develop reporting materials (power point presentations, business cases, etc.) Directly manages new and existing regional supplier relationships and leverages internal stakeholder/category relationships to maximize global supplier partnerships Implements and manages all aspects of the supplier development, contracting and buy to pay processes, including proper risk management Inventory min/max levels and cost management Cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, variance reviews and audits Bill of Material (BOM) processing and review from engineering department Processing and distribution of production packages
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading or managing a team of purchasing and inventory professionals. Exposure and knowledge of supply chain in manufacturing or engineering industries is desired. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent field is preferred but not required. Previous experience working within an ERP/MRP system Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Just in Time (JIT) and Inventory Management Strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel (up to Pivot Tables) Proficient with contract analysis, negotiations and execution Understanding of procurement strategies and business laws

Strong attention to detail Hands on with a high degree of personal initiative
