The National WWII Museum is currently seeking a
World War II Historian, Digital Content . This position offers a unique opportunity for a scholar to be part of the Jenny Craig Institute for the Study of War and Democracy, providing expertise in developing and producing historical content for the Museum’s digital platforms. Responsibilities include reviewing and auditing existing materials, conducting research, writing, and creating high-quality articles and content. The historian will participate in scholarly activities, including higher education, leadership, and public programs, and represent the Museum at professional and academic conferences. Job Details
This is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Director of the Jenny Craig Institute for the Study of War and Democracy. Responsibilities
Lead development and coordination of historical content aligned with the Museum’s strategic plan. Research, write, peer-review, and coordinate historical content and archival footage for digital platforms. Teach graduate courses related to WWII as part of partnerships with universities. Participate in seminars, lectures, and public presentations. Engage in public programming, including interviews, panels, and talks on WWII leadership. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
PhD in U.S. History or a related field. Strong knowledge of WWII, U.S. involvement, and commitment to research and the Museum’s mission. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, digital). Ability to travel for conferences, meetings, and overseas programs. Flexible schedule, including some weekends and evenings. Benefits
