The Loan Management team is a business unit within the Global Banking & Markets division, primarily supporting the Mortgage Loan Trading and Structured Finance desks. The team is a multi-faceted diligence and asset management platform specializing in whole loan acquisition, sales, securitizations, and financing opportunities. The Loan Management team has product expertise across mortgages, consumer loans, real estate, and warehouse financing. Candidate’s role will have key responsibilities in underwriting/managing /overseeing real estate loans that GS has interest in. Job Responsibilities Oversee and/or directly manage a diverse portfolio of unsecured personal loans, student loans, solar / home improvement loans, auto loans, small business loans and credit card receivables in the U.S. and Latin American markets Prepare and update monthly reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders Assist with negotiation of loan agreements and associated documents Assist trading desk and Investment Banking Division (IBD) in review and analysis of platform diligence related to prospective clients and on behalf of the firm and existing lenders (underwriting, guidelines/protocols, staffing, technology systems, security, regulatory compliance etc.) Monitoring and validation of facility collateralization to substantiate requests for additional leverage and adjustments relative to market pricing (inclusive of credit enhancement and performance test evaluation) Tracking key deliverables and financial metrics under the financing documents Effectively capture, analyze and present portfolio trends quantifying risks and opportunities to various internal stakeholders. Actively participate and partner with Technology to support automation and big data initiatives Ability to produce interactive graphs, pivot tables, etc. for reporting Maintains systems for tracking projects and communicate results to different business groups Monitoring business plan performance, making appropriate tactical and strategic recommendations Basic Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, asset / portfolio management, analytics and risk management. Strong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationships Experience interacting with property managers, third party vendors, borrowers, and law firms Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
