Position Summary The Senior Manager of Corporate Development plays a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic growth opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic investments, partnerships, and other high-impact initiatives. This position works closely with executive leadership to drive inorganic growth, enhance competitive positioning, and support long‑term strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
M&A Execution:
Lead and support all phases of M&A activity, including deal sourcing, financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, negotiations, and post‑merger integration.
Strategic Analysis:
Conduct market research, industry trend analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify potential targets and evaluate strategic fit.
Partnerships & Alliances:
Evaluate and structure strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances that align with business objectives.
Business Case Development:
Build detailed financial models and business cases to support investment decisions and board‑level presentations.
Cross‑functional Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, Product, etc.) and external advisors (investment banks, legal counsel, consultants) during deal execution.
Leadership Communication:
Prepare and deliver executive‑level presentations and updates on strategic opportunities and pipeline activity.
Post‑Deal Support:
Support integration planning and performance tracking of acquired entities or investments.
FP&A Support:
Will also support existing business units and other projects as set by the VP of Finance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
6+ years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience leading or playing a significant role in M&A or strategic investment transactions.
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions).
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
High attention to detail and strong project management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with post‑merger integration and change management.
Familiarity with corporate governance and regulatory considerations in dealmaking.
