Location: Maricopa Association of Governments, downtown Phoenix, Arizona.
Note : Work from MAG office required minimum three days per week.

Your Team
MAG’s Transportation Planning team provides strategic and technical guidance for regional mobility and infrastructure, data analysis, policy planning, and stakeholder coordination, supporting long-range planning and regional priorities.
The Position
MAG seeks a team-oriented professional to lead the Transportation Planning Team with responsibilities including:
Leading multimodal transportation planning efforts and managing a team of 3-5 professionals.
Developing and maintaining the RTP and other regional plans, including the Regional Active Transportation Plan.
Managing regional transit planning activities in coordination with Valley Metro and the City of Phoenix.
Supporting the implementation of the RSTIIP, including nonmotorized infrastructure and transportation demand management programs.
Overseeing transportation planning activities, projects, and stakeholder engagement.
Providing oversight of MAG technical committees and workgroups.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
Extensive knowledge of transportation planning processes, systems, and regulations.
Experience in public meeting presentations, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
Ability to work independently and in teams, adapt to changing environments, and manage multiple projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field plus at least 7 years of relevant experience, with a master’s preferred.
