Position Overview Join our fast-paced team supporting the development, advancement, and sustainment of weapon systems for the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and its partners. You will work with experienced personnel knowledgeable about ground, near-space, space environments, and systems operating within them to meet strategic, operational, and tactical needs for the Department of Defense (DoD). QinetiQ is a mission-driven innovation company working with USSF and DoD to design, develop, deploy, and maintain critical national security requirements that ensure warfighter survivability. We are seeking an Acquisition Manager for the Director’s Action Group (DAG) in Huntsville, AL, to support space program acquisition and sustainment. This role involves managing the comparative cost and requirements system, along with business and programmatic operations. The ideal candidate has at least 15 years of relevant experience, specifically supporting space programs. Responsibilities Provide advice and recommendations for aligning portfolio acquisitions, manpower, and funding effectively. Coordinate and resolve issues, facilitating team communication and issue resolution. Support program acquisition efforts, including advanced technology development, future concepts, and integration activities. Advise and assist the Government on cost, schedule, and performance matters. Support leadership in high-visibility engagements, including congressional commitments and taskers. Required Qualifications 15+ years of extensive, relevant experience supporting space programs. Experience with comparative cost and requirement systems, MAR Reporting Software, and TMT. Understanding of critical aspects of DoD space acquisition, launch, ground operations, and related projects. Experience supporting Air Force and Space Force processes and familiar with acquisition terminology. Background in Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics. MA/MS degree. TS/SCI clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Air Force and/or Space Force acquisitions. Previous Space Force Business Operations and/or Director's Action Group experience.
