The Position
The new Emergency Department (ED) Nurse Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, direction, and overall accountability for the Mercy Hospital of Buffalos Emergency Department, focusing on quality patient care that meets community needs. They will oversee the 37-bed Emergency Department and a team of 122+ FTEs, focusing on throughput, KPIs, and transitions. The role involves workforce and staffing initiatives such as mentoring, recruitment, and retention, as well as collaboration with physicians to foster stable relationships. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, dynamic leader with ED expertise, regulatory knowledge, and financial acumen. Seeking a seasoned, adaptable, approachable, and detail-oriented leader capable of collaborating across all levels and balancing emotional intelligence with accountability and process improvement. Requirements
BSN is required; MSN preferred. Active NYS RN license or ability to obtain one. Active ACLS, PALS, and/or NIHSS certification. Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience. Union experience is strongly preferred. Compensation Details
Base salary range: $120,000 to $130,000 annually. Additional benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, and bonuses. Total compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors. The Organization
