The Information Systems Division works in collaboration with programs and county agencies, to provide solutions to systems that assist families access essentials such as, but not limited to, medical services, care providers, groceries, and transportation. The Information Technology Specialist I (IT SPEC I) will provide IT Single Point of Contact Service Desk customer service support for users on all IT equipment including hardware and software troubleshooting and timely problem solving and resolution including but not limited to; logging and documenting all call activity in the ticket tracking system and support network permission level to perform account administration duties in O365 and other applications. Maintain the Information Systems Division (ISD) IT Service Desk by logging in calls, providing documentation about problems, escalating calls to appropriate personnel and using a ticket tracking system and call center system. Provide support and assistance to CDSS users on various software and hardware application support, including, but not limited to: Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Agency Business Applications, Active Directory (AD), Email and Security groups. The ITS1 will act in a lead role for the Service Desk Team. Working Conditions
This position is eligible for hybrid work, not full telework. This work location is very convenient! The CDSS is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmers markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80. This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Specific telework arrangements may be discussed in more detail with the respective hiring manager. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Social Services policies. Minimum Requirements

A Statement of Qualifications or Supplemental Questionnaire must be submitted along with your application in order to be considered for this position. This position requires a background investigation, including a criminal conviction history screening, before hire (IRS Publication 1075). Applicants are required to submit fingerprints via the Live Scan process to the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The incumbent must possess strong customer service skills and be able to lead a team of Information Technology Associates and independently work with a variety of people at all levels. The successful candidate must also possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Project management and ITIL familiarity are a plus.
