As a Gensler

Interior Designer , you are passionate about your craft, combining creativity and technical knowledge with business skills to produce functionally beautiful spaces. You have exceptional design skills, a background in interior design, and a portfolio of innovative concepts. You are an integral member of the design team, contributing your point of view and participating in conceptual thought processes and exploration. What You Will Do

Perform interior design assignments including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation. Participate in selecting and presenting furniture, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting. Create initial concept packages with a strong design story to guide the project through completion. Conduct programming efforts through space planning to meet client goals. Sculpt interior spaces as a holistic experience, specifying furniture, lighting, artwork, finishes, and materials. Lead project coordination efforts, managing deadlines, communication, and collaboration with clients and consultants. Communicate conceptual design ideas through 2D and 3D presentation drawings. Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives. Participate in construction administration, including reviewing submittals, finish samples, and value engineering to maintain design intent. Your Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field from an accredited program. 5+ years of interior design experience. NCIDQ or CID Certification required. LEED Accreditation is a plus. Proficient in SketchUp and Revit. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications. Rendering and visual communication skills are highly valued. Passionate, self-starting, intelligent, dedicated, and efficient. Detailed understanding of FF&E design and deliverables.
