MWH is seeking a
VDC Engineer
to join our Digital Delivery team in Phoenix, AZ. This role supports and develops Digital Delivery practices, assists with model-based project management, virtual construction workflows, and construction technology deployments. The VDC Engineer provides leadership to project teams, drives project requirements, and supports process self-perform activities. Essential Functions
Process/Yard Piping:
Understanding and knowledge of piping practices for underground, aboveground, gravity, and pressurized systems; piping types, schedules, connections, materials, lining, coatings, fluid services, insulation; equipment, piping supports, valves, manholes, appurtenances; isometric and orthographic drafting; survey coordinate systems; P&IDs, Process Mechanical, Civil/Yard Piping drawings; reviewing submittals; water/wastewater/industrial waste piping systems. Concrete:
Knowledge of concrete lift drawings, embeds, penetrations, rebar drawings, water stops, form systems. Produce models, drawings, layouts, and sketches using BIM/CAD software; collaborate with design professionals and project teams. Develop and maintain 3D model content for process systems; develop digital parts libraries and catalogs. Create detailed construction models, fabrication isometrics, and orthographics for process piping systems. Support on-site construction teams with VDC/Digital Delivery applications like AR and VR. Educate project teams on software workflows; interpret contract documents and drawings; lead BIM-based trade coordination. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience; or MS degree plus 4 years of experience. Hands-on experience with Autodesk BIM tools (Revit, Plant3D, Navisworks) for at least 4 years. Familiarity with project scheduling, reality capture tools, and proficiency in MS Office applications. Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Autodesk Plant3D, Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Primavera, BIM 360/ACC, Assemble, and CMiC. Benefits
