We are seeking a Vice President of Distribution Operations who wants to use their knowledge to help grow our venture capital-backed business. Someone who has strong background in U.S. healthcare delivery systems and hospital-based selling would be a great fit.
As a Vice President of Distribution Operations , some of your job duties will include:
- Develop, implement and improve operations (distribution/customers service) and field sales integration points to ensure alignment with corporate goals and go-to-market plans
- Evaluate Enabling Techology Trends: (Robotics, AI-assisted surgery, regenerative medicine) and assess impacts on the company’s distribution & customer service systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, R&D, Finance, Regulatory, and Customer Service to align field efforts with overall business objectives
- Oversee execution of distribution & customer services strategies, and performance metrics.
- Define and implement the distribution process and system innovation roadmap aligned with the company’s overall goals, focusing on areas such as product deployment, technology adoption, and asset utilization
- Oversee launch and deployment of new orthopedic implants, instruments, and enabling technologies
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top distribution & customer service talent
- Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance and fostering professional growth
- Maintain strong relationships with commercial leadership, distribution network, product management and quality/regulatory
- Work with the process of training delivery and accountability towards completion
- Responsible for the mapping and process of distributor-led, or SI co-led local marketing activities to adhere to brand standards
- Provide feedback from Distributors on success of local programs, and scale of cost-benefit analysis pertaining to local distributor events
- Establish and refine SOPs and field processes to support scalability and efficiency.
- Lead territory asset planning in collaboration with internal stakeholders
To be successful as a Vice President of Distribution Operations , you will have the following experiences and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health or related, MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial operations, preferably in medical devices or diagnostics
- Proven track record of leading large, distributed commercial operations and achieving growth in highly competitive markets Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Deep knowledge of U.S. healthcare delivery systems, procurement pathways, and hospital-based selling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- Commitment to ethical standards and continuous learning
