Associate Director, Cyber Architecture and Engineering

Position Overview: KPMG is seeking an Associate Director in Cyber Architecture and Engineering within our Enterprise Security Services organization. This remote role involves developing security strategies, supporting security operations, overseeing GCP security tooling, and leading security initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security strategy, ensuring alignment with firm goals and addressing evolving threats.
  2. Support security operations and incident response, including threat hunting, forensic analysis, and remediation.
  3. Oversee GCP and Workbench security tooling integration, automations, and processes for unified security monitoring and response.
  4. Promote cybersecurity best practices, mentor team members, and provide thought leadership.
  5. Drive automation to improve security processes, documenting procedures in playbooks and guides.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure strategy alignment and standardization.

Qualifications:

  1. At least eight years of recent experience in security architecture, with expertise in GCP and security tooling integration.
  2. Bachelor's degree preferred; certifications such as CISSP and Google Cloud Security Engineer are preferred.
  3. Experience managing security resources and projects, with knowledge of regulatory standards like NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
  4. Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and develop high-performance teams.
  5. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
